It’s been over a month since our last update and we’re sorry about the delay. This has however given us the chance to give you a massive update.
With this update we have added a lot of new stuff like a new level, a powerup, a checkpoint system, and some gameplay settings. The new gameplay settings allows you to customize the playing experience however you like. You are currently able to change your own movement speed, your maximum health, the projectile speed of the enemies and the attack rate of the enemies.
We hope that you will enjoy all this new content and all the minor tweaks we’ve done to the game for this update.
Patchnotes
New features!
Power ups!
- Added the Troll power up! This gives you an extra hit point. You lose it when hit.
- Power flame!
- How you obtain power ups
- Collect the three power flames in a level for them to form the power up item, then pick that up to transform
- How you obtain power ups
Checkpoints!
- Default is now checkpoint at level 3
- Added option to have each level count as checkpoint, or none to be one.
Customization!
- Now we are sadly not talking about cosmetics for Goob (yet) but what we are talking about is changing things like player movement speed, enemy attack speed and projectile speed. As well as checkpoints.
- Added audio sliders
New Level!
- New Level 4: 5 catapults
- Old level 4 is now level 5
Improved death screen!
- Now shows goob in a dead pose that changes depending on what killed him
- Current death poses:
- Arrowed
- Egged
- Death poses will be added alongside new threats
Follow the Yellow!
- The cave now lits up when grabbing a chicken, and loses its glimmer when that chicken is lost.
New sound effects
- Powering up
- Powering down
- Power flame collect
- Power flame merge
- Egg splash
Juice!
- Added tons of particle effects:
- Foot step particle
- Foot step smoke particle
- Arrow trail particle
- Egg trail
- Egg splat particle
- Chicken feather particle
- Chicken death particle
- Power flame merge
- Powering Up
- Powering down
Fixes:
- Final level has two archers now instead of four.
- Final level is now the fifth level (added a new level 4).
- Player doesn’t get stuck when walking into an obstacle.
- Catapult eggs area of effect is larger.
- Goob faces the direction he is walking in.
- Enemies now visually turn to face the player.
- Removed friction, so goob no longer gets stuck when moving right next to an obstacle.
- Increased the gap on the fence at the chicken coop
